With the guidance of SCORE, Demetri won second place in SCORE's 60th Anniversary Pitch Competition held in Philadelphia, securing $10,000 in seed money, which he used to invest in a mobile food truck. This strategic decision allowed The Greek Shack to reach high-traffic events and cater private functions, while also serving as a hybrid brick-and mortar location. Additionally, the mentorship Demetri received from SCORE helped refine his business plan which has been essential in increasing revenue and hiring employees.

Vanessa and her co-founders have achieved significant milestones with the help of their SCORE mentor, Gisleine. Her guidance was crucial in refining their pitch and business materials, which helped them present a more compelling case to potential investors. Of more than 2,000 applicants to SCORE's pitch competition, bonnee made it to the semi-finals to make her pitch live before the judges, ultimately winning third place and $5,000. This achievement also provided them with invaluable exposure and credibility.
